Within the framework of the US administration statement on supporting the Egyptian economy to pass this critical stage, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) will organize an economic forum in this regard.

This forum will discuss cooperation between the US and Egyptian business sectors in the fields of energy, information technology, communications, transport and agriculture.

The USAID Director said the forum will be attended on the Egyptian side by 84 experts and government officials to discuss the issues of trade and joint investments. She added the forum aims at creating a new environment and climate for economic cooperation between the two countries.

The forum will focus on the sectors of transport, energy, and agriculture, she noted, adding it will be followed by a number of field visits to a number of US cities to discuss investment opportunities in Egypt.

She said the forum and the planned visit of the Egyptian delegation come within the framework of US efforts to support and modernize the Egyptian economy.
