Egypt is ready to extend its expertise to Kenya in the IT sector, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohamed Salem has said.
Egypt will also help Kenya establish smart villages and implement programs aimed at preparing human cadres in this vital sector, added Salem during a meeting with visiting Kenyan Minister of Information and Communications Samuel Poghisio.
The step comes in line with a number of bilateral agreements between Egypt and Kenya, according to the Egyptian official.
Poghisio underlined the depth of Egypt-Kenya relations, saying they are based on cooperation and joint interests.
The Kenyan official said his visit to Egypt aims at learning more about the latest developments in the country's communications and information technology domain.
