Leading multilingual BPO services vendor in Egypt, Xceed intends to increase its operations two-fold by 2013. Quoting the firm’s vice-president Osama Nazmy, a website report says that presently the company has two contact centers in Africa – one in Egypt and the other in Morocco, and employs approximately 2,000 people.
According to Nazmy, keeping in view the boom in the business, Xceed has decided to double its operations over the next 24 months. In a telephone interview to an Egyptian daily, the Nazmy said that currently there is tremendous potential for outsourcing globally and the conditions required to undertake the operations are very favorable in Egypt.
It may be mentioned here that during the current year the Egyptian outsourcing industry expects to earn revenues worth $1.1 billion and aims to generate revenues worth $2 billion by 2013. The forecast for the next one decade is $10 billion. According to a survey conducted by the global management consultancy firm AT Kearny, Egypt was positioned 13th in the domain of global service delivery worldwide in 2009 and in 2010; the country’s BPO industry has climbed the ranks to reach the sixth position.
In Egypt, Xceed is considered to be a pioneering firm as far as outsourcing and off-shoring business in that country is concerned. According to Nazmy, since its inception as a technology hub, especially call center for the telecom sector in 2001, Xceed has been successful in obtaining a significant number of business powerhouses globally as its clients. Way back in 2004, the center began providing services to Microsoft Corporation and presently Xceed serves the Richmond-based computer technology multinational in as many as 19 countries in nine dissimilar languages. The other major clients of this Egyptian tech firm includes Cisco Systems, the UAE-based telecom service provider du and Videotron – the second largest phone and cable operator in Canada.
According to Nazmy, among the 57 firms operating in Egypt, Xceed was declared the biggest exporter of IT services in the country. It may be noted that apart from call center operations, presently Xceed offers an assortment of facilities which comprise data entry, payroll processing, claims management, records management, order management and case management.
